A 3D Product without 3D Marketing Materials:

3D Laser Gifts turns photos into 3D laser etchings inside various glass crystal shapes. Their 2-D images didn't do justice to their product's beauty. So I helped them change that.

Despite the fact that the product works best in dark environments (there's also a light source in the base that makes the etchings easier to see), I knew that the videos would look better and more modern with a white background instead of a black background.

Setting up a brightly-lit studio for a white background while still being able to see the etchings proved a creative trial-and-error process. What finally worked was attaching a purple construction paper cutout to the back of the crystal, which allowed the etching to show in front of it.
